Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters Announces 'Business Support Project' Contest for Regional Win-Win Development

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters is conducting the '2021 Business Support Project Contest' until September 10.

The Business Support Project is a program in which nuclear power plant operators directly or indirectly support projects needed by the local community for the purpose of revitalizing the local economy, improving the environment, promoting culture, and enhancing welfare in nearby areas, in accordance with the 'Act on Support for Areas Surrounding Power Plants.'

The budget for the Gori Nuclear Power Headquarters' business support project for next year has been set at a total of 9.46 billion KRW.

The Gori Headquarters is discovering various projects and conducting the contest to ensure fair and transparent project selection and execution. Applications are accepted in six fields: educational scholarship support, regional economic cooperation, surrounding environment improvement, local welfare, regional cultural promotion, and other support projects.

To encourage more institutions, organizations, and local residents to participate in this contest, the Gori Headquarters will hold a project contest briefing session on the 14th at the Gori Sports Culture Center Multi-Performance Hall located in Jangan-eup, Gijang County, Busan.

At this event, they plan to provide guidance on the contest method, how to write project proposals, and various matters regarding evaluation and selection criteria.

The final selection results will be announced in January next year through the local government website and text messages.
