[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will hold the "2020 Innovative Administration Best Practices Competition" for 16 days from the 12th to the 27th.

This competition was organized to discover innovative cases in various fields to realize the "Happy Neighborhood City Geumcheon" and to spread a culture of proactive administration throughout the organization.

In this competition, 21 innovative administrative cases will compete, including ▲ "Geumcheon Neighborhood Care Service" to eliminate blind spots in care ▲ non-face-to-face parenting support and care programs to overcome COVID-19 ▲ Geumcheon-gu smart IoT pedestrian path creation ▲ opening and sharing of private affiliated parking lots ▲ innovative sewage management administration "Smart Rainwater Inlet" ▲ Geumcheon 1st Street Living Lab, among others.

Evaluation will be conducted online in a non-face-to-face manner to prevent the spread of COVID-19. First, an evaluation team of 15 members, including residents and public officials, will conduct a document review from the 12th to the 18th. During the same period, online voting will be held through the national participation communication platform "Gukmin Saenggakham" targeting Geumcheon residents and workers located in Geumcheon-gu to select 10 projects.

Then, on the 27th, the 10 selected projects will present their cases online, and the best practices will be selected and awarded.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, "Through the Geumcheon-gu Innovative Administration Best Practices Competition, which is being held for the first time this year, I hope the seeds of innovation will widely spread throughout the entire organization and become the driving force toward the 'Happy Neighborhood City Geumcheon.'"
