[Exclusive] 3-Year-Old Child of Unknown Identity Found Dead in Officetel... Biological Mother Attempts Extreme Act

[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] A 3-year-old girl, whose whereabouts were being tracked by the police due to unknown location, was found dead in an officetel in Suwon. The child's biological mother attempted an extreme act at the scene and was taken to the hospital.

According to the police on the 10th, around 4 p.m. that day, the body of A (3) was discovered by police who responded to the scene at an officetel in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province. The child's biological mother was also found attempting an extreme act at the scene. The mother was transported to the hospital and is reported to be in stable condition.

The Jongam Police Station in Seoul had been investigating the whereabouts of A and her parents following a report from the local community center last month that A's location and safety were unconfirmed. During the investigation, they identified the location and visited the site, but ultimately A was found deceased. This case has been transferred to the jurisdiction of the Suwon Nambu Police Station, where the incident occurred, and an investigation will proceed.

The police plan to investigate the exact circumstances of the case once the mother completes her hospital treatment.
