[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] K Bank announced on the 10th that it will offer a promotion refunding up to 120,000 KRW to new customers who automatically pay their KT telecom bills via a check card or account.
Customers who link their KT telecom bills to the 'KT Membership Double Benefit Check Card' (with a previous month's spending of 200,000 KRW or more) can receive a refund of 5,000 KRW per month on wired and wireless telecom fees for 24 months. This amounts to a maximum telecom bill saving of 120,000 KRW over two years. This benefit is available only to customers who obtain the card by the 30th of next month.
In addition to KT Membership discounts, customers can get back up to 40,000 KRW in membership points deducted according to their previous month's spending. K Bank customers using KT can enjoy a 'double benefit' by receiving the membership points used to reduce telecom fees once again in cash.
K Bank check cards can be used free of charge at ATMs installed at all banks and GS25 convenience stores. In particular, the KT Membership Double Benefit Check Card also waives fees for overseas payments and overseas ATM cash withdrawals.
Customers who apply for automatic payment of KT telecom fees through a K Bank account can receive a telecom fee discount of 2,000 KRW per month for 5 months, up to a maximum of 10,000 KRW. The cashback promotion for automatic telecom bill payment via account applies to new customers joining K Bank until the end of this year.
A K Bank official said, "This event was prepared to provide customized benefits to customers based on partnership synergy," adding, "We will continue to discover partnership items with shareholders and group companies such as marketing and linked product launches to provide differentiated value unique to K Bank."
