The Korea Safety Education Association (President Jeong Seong-ho, hereinafter referred to as the Association) announced that it will conduct commissioned safety training for the Police Agency's Field Safety Inspection Team.
The Safety Inspection Team is responsible for diagnosing potential hazards that may occur at large-scale rallies and demonstrations, facility inspections, high-altitude sit-ins, and other on-site situations, and advising field commanders on safety measures to be taken by the police.
This training was planned to enhance work capabilities through education and practice on safety inspection techniques to ensure public safety at sites where large crowds gather, such as rallies, demonstrations, and events.
The commissioned tasks include ▲hazard assessment training ▲safety psychology and behavior safety training ▲firefighting (facility safety) training ▲emergency response training ▲development of customized curricula for field inspections ▲development of safety inspection checklists for practice.
The Association plans to combine practical training and remote video education on crowd safety inspections, identification of harmful and hazardous factors, emergency response, safety psychology, and safety inspections. It also plans on-site practice and evaluation in urban areas, subways, and plazas, and will provide remote video education based on pre-developed teaching materials.
President Jeong Seong-ho of the Association stated, “This training was conducted to prevent accidents from a managerial perspective through customized field inspection education,” and added, “We hope that the enhancement of safety expertise of the Field Inspection Team, which is responsible for ensuring the safety of both citizens and police, will contribute to creating a safer society.”
Meanwhile, the Association was established to contribute to the establishment of a safety culture and national development through safety and health education, and it conducts safety and health education for companies, government offices, and schools.
Internal and external safety experts lead safety training and safety instructor development for workers, and also provide e-learning safety education online.
In particular, earlier this year, it was selected as a safety education institution designated by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, striving to provide systematic and practical safety education to the entire population.
