'On and Off' Lee So-ra tells close friend Uhm Jung-hwa, "We never thought we'd end up staying single"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jeong-ho] Actress Uhm Jung-hwa opened up about her deep feelings with her close friend and model Lee So-ra.

On the afternoon of the 8th, the tvN show 'On and Off' aired a scene where Lee So-ra visited Uhm Jung-hwa's home and they had a conversation.

That day, the two spent time sharing their inner thoughts while having a meal.

First, Uhm Jung-hwa said, "Sometimes I find out my age by reading articles. When we post photos, people comment things like 'Is this really Uhm Jung-hwa in her 50s?'"

She added, "Since my mid-30s, I've always felt this way. When the headline visually shows my age like that, I wonder why I should be ashamed of getting older. Then I think, how should I act according to my age? There's no answer. Nothing has really changed," expressing her frustration.

Watching this in the studio, Uhm Jung-hwa said, "From when I was 28 or 29, I heard things like I had to switch to being a ballad singer, or that I shouldn't dance at that age, so I changed. I could have conformed to what those people thought, but then I probably wouldn't be here. I feel really fortunate that I rejected that and did what I wanted to do."

Uhm Jung-hwa also showed her passion for learning video editing to Lee So-ra. She mentioned, "I think I have to do this kind of thing too. The times are moving that way."

In response, Lee So-ra said happily, "When I first started teaching you last time, I thought you'd stop after a little while. But you said you would edit and upload videos. Even though you couldn't see well, we spent seven hours that day crying."

Then Lee So-ra said, "I never thought you and I would live alone and remain single for such a long time." Sitting beside her, Uhm Jung-hwa said warmly, "I'm here, aren't I? You being so cool really gives me strength," creating a heartwarming atmosphere.
