[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Korea Expressway Corporation's Daegu-Pohang Expressway Daegu-bound Yeongcheon Rest Area announced on the 8th that it has installed transparent partitions on dining tables as part of measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

The Daegu-bound Yeongcheon Rest Area is making efforts to block community transmission of COVID-19 by placing hand sanitizers throughout the store and conducting frequent disinfection activities.

A rest area official stated, "Considering the nature of highway rest facilities where many people gather from all over the country, we are thoroughly practicing 'social distancing in daily life,'" adding, "Under the awareness that we are a key point to prevent cross-regional spread of COVID-19, we are carrying out maximum disinfection work in daily operations."
