[Asia Economy Reporter No Woo-rae] Kim Si-woo (25, CJ Logistics) is sailing smoothly.

On the 8th (Korean time), at Harding Park TPC in San Francisco, California, USA (Par 70, 7,234 yards), during the second day of the PGA Tour major PGA Championship (total prize money $11 million), he recorded 2 under par to rise to a tie for 16th place (3 under par 137 strokes). Li Haotong (China) leads (8 under par 132 strokes), and six players including defending champion Brooks Koepka (USA), Jason Day (Australia), and Tommy Fleetwood (England) are tied for 2nd place, just 2 strokes behind (6 under par 134 strokes).

Starting from a tie for 33rd place, 4 strokes behind, Kim Si-woo combined 3 birdies and 1 bogey. In the front nine, he only managed to recover a bogey on the 13th hole with a birdie on the 14th hole, failing to reduce his score, but in the back nine, consecutive birdies on the 1st and 2nd holes helped him climb the rankings. His fairway hit rate of 66.67% demonstrated precise iron shots, and his scrambling ability of 83.33%, which is the skill to save par or birdie when missing the green, was outstanding. He is 5 strokes behind the leader and 2 strokes behind the tie for 8th place.
