According to the city, it was confirmed that A, a person in their 20s living in Hwajeong-dong who tested positive for COVID-19 in the afternoon of the same day (Goyang case number 101), is working as a homeroom teacher at a daycare center in Pung-dong.

The daycare center has a capacity of about 40 children, and 13 teachers are known to be working there. Recently, due to the vacation period, an average of about 20 children attended daily.

The Ilsandong-gu Public Health Center is currently conducting COVID-19 tests on daycare center staff and children. It was confirmed that A had contact at the church on the 2nd with the 96th confirmed patient in Goyang City, who was diagnosed positive on the afternoon of the 5th.
