On the 7th, North Korea's state media, Korean Central News Agency, reported, "Comrade Kim Jong Un understood the flood damage situation on-site in the Daechong-ri area of Eunp'a County, Hwanghaebuk-do."

In Eunp'a County, continuous heavy rain caused the collapse of embankments, flooding approximately 730 single-family houses and about 600 pyeong of rice paddies, with 179 houses collapsing; however, there were no casualties, the agency reported.

After visiting the site, Chairman Kim gave instructions on measures to support the flood victims.

The agency stated that Kim Jong Un "instructed the relevant departments to submit documents to release the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission's reserve grain to supply it to the affected people on a household basis," and "emphasized the importance of establishing measures to secure construction materials, including cement necessary for the restoration construction work, and instructed to release and secure the Chairman of the State Affairs Commission's strategic reserve materials according to the required amount."
