[Exclusive] Jo Jung-suk and Gummy Welcome Baby Girl... "Both Mother and Baby Are Healthy"

[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] Jo Jung-suk (40) and Gummy (Park Ji-yeon, 39) have welcomed their first daughter after two years of marriage.

Jo Jung-suk's agency, Jam Entertainment, announced on the afternoon of the 6th, "We are pleased to share the news that actor Jo Jung-suk and singer Gummy have welcomed a new family member, and both the mother and baby are healthy."

Jam Entertainment stated, "Gummy gave birth to their first daughter on the morning of the 6th at a hospital in Seoul," adding, "The couple and their families are very happy about the birth of their first child."

They continued, "We sincerely thank everyone for their support and congratulations, and ask for blessings for the family of the couple who have welcomed a new family member."

Jo Jung-suk and Gummy married in October 2018. The two met through an introduction by an acquaintance in 2013 and began dating publicly in February 2015.

Meanwhile, Jo Jung-suk debuted in 2004 with the play The Nutcracker and gained popularity for his role as Nabdugi in the film Architecture 101. He has since appeared in works such as My Love, My Bride, The King 2 Hearts, Oh My Ghost, and Jealousy Incarnate. Recently, he played Dr. Lee Ik-jun in the tvN drama Hospital Playlist, which ended in May. He is also active in various films and musicals.

Gummy debuted in 2003 with her first album Like Them and has released many hit songs including "Adult Child," "Amnesia," "When You Return," "I Should Have Been Your Friend," and the KBS 2TV Descendants of the Sun OST "You Are My Everything."
