[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] On the morning of the 6th, Jung Won-oh, Mayor of Seongdong-gu, visited the area around Salgoti Sports Park, which was flooded due to heavy rain, along with related officials.

Mayor Jung instructed to make every effort to restore the flooded site and urged thorough measures to prevent damage from the heavy rain.

Since the 31st of last month, Seongdong-gu has been operating the Flood and Wind Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters on a 24-hour emergency basis, conducting focused patrol inspections of flood-prone areas and major facilities, and has organized a total of 539 personnel ready to respond immediately in case of damage.

Additionally, the district is operating nine rainwater pumping stations within the area and controlling access to 13 river entrances and exits, doing its utmost to prevent flood damage.
