[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Haman-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 6th that it held a delivery ceremony for call taxi vehicles for transportation-vulnerable people.

The event took place at the county office square, attended by County Governor Jo Geun-je, related officials, and Lee Seong-hyeong, president of the Gyeongnam Association of the Physically Disabled Haman-gun branch.

The delivery ceremony was organized to alleviate the inconvenience of users of old vehicles and provide more convenient and safer services by purchasing and delivering three additional Carnival vehicles due to the aging of existing call taxis for transportation-vulnerable people and the increase in the legal number of vehicles.

Currently, the county operates call taxis for transportation-vulnerable people with walking disabilities among severely disabled residents in the area, entrusted to the Gyeongnam Association of the Physically Disabled Haman-gun branch, operating seven vehicles equipped with wheelchair lifts 24 hours a day, year-round.

Governor Jo said, “I hope the vehicles delivered today will greatly contribute to improving the convenience of transportation-vulnerable people in the area,” and urged, “The Gyeongnam Association of the Physically Disabled Haman-gun branch should make further efforts to provide services to become the feet and hope of transportation-vulnerable people.”
