[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Among the Galaxy 5 series unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event, the wireless earphones 'Galaxy Buds Live' and the smartwatch 'Galaxy Watch3' have been released. Samsung Electronics competes with Apple with wearable products that combine both performance and price.

Samsung Electronics announced that starting from the 6th, these products will be available for sale on online open markets such as Samsung.com, Coupang, and 11st. The third series of Galaxy Buds, 'Galaxy Buds Live,' features earbuds equipped with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) similar to AirPods Pro. It blocks up to 97% of background noise while allowing essential sounds such as conversations and announcements to be heard, making it a smart wireless earphone. The earbuds are equipped with three microphones and an accelerometer sensor to filter out external noise and improve call quality by enhancing voice signals tailored to the user. The price is 198,000 KRW, cheaper than the AirPods Pro (329,000 KRW).

Music playback time is 6 hours with ANC and voice commands on, and up to 21 hours with charging via the case. Calls can be made for 4.5 hours with ANC on, and up to 17 hours. When recording videos with the Galaxy Note20, it can be used like a wireless microphone, and Bixby can be activated with voice commands to check weather, play music, and send messages. Two Buds Live can be connected simultaneously with the Galaxy Tab S7 or Note20 to enjoy favorite music together.

The Galaxy Watch3 has enhanced health monitoring and fitness features. With the Samsung Health Monitor application, blood pressure and electrocardiogram measurements are possible, and a blood oxygen saturation measurement function has been added. It allows users to check how effectively they are breathing over a period by measuring oxygen levels in the blood. It also includes a fall detection feature that sends an SOS alert to four designated contacts if the user falls or collapses and connects a call to one of them. The Samsung Health app records and manages exercise types. The running analysis program provides feedback on posture balance, maximum oxygen uptake, and exercise performance.

The Galaxy Watch3 is equipped with a physical rotating bezel for easier operation. Users can customize the watch face to display desired information such as weather, date, and step count. Over 80,000 watch faces are available, offering a wide range of choices. It is released in 41mm and 45mm sizes, with LTE and Bluetooth models. Prices range from 429,000 KRW (Bluetooth) to 495,000 KRW (LTE) for the 41mm, and from 473,000 KRW to 528,000 KRW for the 45mm model.
