#. Around the apartment senior center, when an elderly man collapses, an alarm immediately sounds at the control center. An intelligent CCTV utilizing the latest artificial intelligence (AI) technology recognizes the falling motion and promptly alerts the staff. This CCTV can prevent not only accidents involving the elderly but also potential accidents involving children in playgrounds. This is because it applies algorithms that analyze specific movements.

#. A resident standing in front of the apartment’s main entrance can enter without using an access card or password, as the 'facial recognition access service' recognizes the pre-registered face and opens the door. When entering the main entrance using a password, outsiders such as delivery workers or couriers could freely pass through if they knew the password, creating many management vulnerabilities. However, this service allows residents to enter conveniently while simultaneously blocking unauthorized access.

Advanced security solutions recently applied in apartment complexes are gaining attention. As crimes in multi-family housing increase, the type of security service provided is recognized as one of the important criteria for choosing an apartment. Representative examples include intelligent CCTV that analyzes specific movements with AI and facial recognition access control that manages entry through facial analysis, both provided by S-1. Samsung C&T’s apartments also apply S-1’s security technologies, and it is expected that continuous synergy will be generated in the future.

Among the advanced security technologies applied to recently occupied apartments such as Songpa Helio City and Gangdong Raemian Solvenue, the intelligent CCTV by S-1 draws particular attention. This CCTV applies algorithms such as 'Intrusion & Loitering' that detect suspicious behavior or loiterers around the main entrance, the 'Falling' algorithm that recognizes when a person collapses to prevent accidents involving children and the elderly near playgrounds or senior centers, and the 'Abandonment' algorithm that automatically notifies if a new object remains in the recycling area for a certain period to crack down on illegal dumping. AI analyzes the footage to help prevent various types of accidents that can occur in apartments. S-1 expects that this intelligent CCTV technology will help prevent crimes in multi-family housing, which the National Police Agency estimates have increased by 33.2% over the past three years.

In addition, S-1 is enhancing crime prevention effects not only by building advanced security solutions but also by applying Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED). This refers to creating an environment that prevents crime from the design stage of buildings or apartments. For example, LED lighting is installed outside apartments to increase illumination, and densely arranged CCTVs and emergency bells are installed in high-crime-risk areas such as underground parking lots and apartment fences. In May, an apartment in Gwangju, where S-1 provides security services, was recognized for excellence in crime prevention environment creation and was selected as a 'Crime Prevention Excellence Facility' certified by the police.

An S-1 official emphasized, "For crime prevention in apartments, building optimized solutions considering the characteristics of each complex is most important," adding, "We will accelerate our efforts to target the multi-family housing market based on 40 years of accumulated security solution operation know-how and advanced technologies developed by our Fusion Security Research Institute."
