Pasu Secures Data Integration Management System Project Following Enforcement of the Three Data Laws

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Fasoo announced on the 5th that it has won the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA) project for the ‘Data Integration Comprehensive Management System’ to support pseudonymized data integration as stipulated in the Data 3 Act.

With the enforcement of the amended Data 3 Acts including the Personal Information Protection Act, Credit Information Act, and Information and Communications Network Act, it has become possible to use or provide pseudonymized personal information for purposes such as statistical compilation, scientific research, and public interest record preservation.

KISA issued the project for the ‘Data Integration Comprehensive Management System’ which supports everything from pseudonymized data integration applications, selection of integration specialized institutions, to data encryption. Fasoo was selected as the project operator, leading the market in terms of relevant technology and business experience.

Through this project, Fasoo will develop the ‘Integration Application System’ and ‘Integration Key Linkage Information Generation System’ to effectively and safely carry out pseudonymized data integration, the core of the Data 3 Act. Companies and institutions wishing to integrate data will be able to directly select integration specialized institutions, apply for integration, and check the progress of the integration in real time.

A system will be developed to generate and manage integration key linkage information used by the integration key management institution for pseudonymized data integration, and to enhance the effectiveness of data integration, the integration rate can be checked in advance before integration. Fasoo will also provide the data transmission and technical protection infrastructure to ensure that pseudonymized data is safely delivered, stored, and integrated by related institutions.
