Five Lodging Workers Tested as Close Contacts, All Received Negative Results

11 Family Members Also Tested Negative... One Still Undergoing Testing

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yuk Miseok] On the 4th, Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that all five employees of the accommodation where COVID-19 patient No. 58 from Yeonsu-gu, Incheon, Mr. A, stayed tested negative.

Mr. A visited Gurye-gun with a family of 12 from the 31st of last month to the 2nd of this month. It was confirmed that symptoms appeared from the 1st.

Mr. A stayed at a mountain lodge in Gurye-gun from 1 PM on July 31 to 11 AM on August 1. At 11 AM on August 1, he moved to another pension and spent time on a nearby valley platform until 4 PM.

The group moved to Maisan in Jinan-gun, Jeollabuk-do before 10 AM the next day.

Yeonsu-gu, Incheon notified Gurye-gun of Mr. A’s visit on the 4th. Gurye-gun identified the detailed route, closed the visited locations of contacts, and conducted disinfection and quarantine.

Based on statements that Mr. A’s group cooked their own food and mostly stayed at the accommodation, it was determined that there were no close contacts.

The five accommodation employees were tested as close contacts and all tested negative.

The quarantine authorities stated that among the 12 members of Mr. A’s group, 11 tested negative and one is still undergoing testing.
