Renault Samsung Motors Launches Auto Solution Special Care Service for Models Before 2010 and Recall Targets


[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] Renault Samsung Motors announced on the 4th that starting in August, it will provide special vehicle care services to customers who own vehicles over 10 years old and XM3 recall customers through its direct service centers.


This event was organized to encourage vehicle inspections ahead of long-distance driving during the vacation season, to express gratitude to long-term customers who have used Renault Samsung vehicles for many years, and to reduce inconvenience for recall customers.


First, the ‘My Car Love Care Event’ is held until the 31st of this month for customers owning Renault Samsung vehicles over 10 years old. At 10 designated direct service centers, customers who receive paid repairs will receive various discount benefits based on parts repair costs (excluding labor) and an exterior restoration service worth approximately 9 million KRW.


If the parts repair cost is less than 100,000 KRW, customers receive a 10,000 KRW maintenance discount coupon; if between 100,000 KRW and less than 300,000 KRW, a 20,000 KRW coupon; and if between 300,000 KRW and less than 500,000 KRW, a 50,000 KRW coupon. Additionally, for costs between 500,000 KRW and less than 1,000,000 KRW, an internal cleaning service worth 200,000 KRW is provided, and for costs over 1,000,000 KRW, polishing, coating, and internal cleaning services worth 500,000 KRW are offered.


Furthermore, during the event period, one customer who has had their vehicle serviced will be selected by lottery to receive a premium service worth approximately 9 million KRW free of charge, which includes painting, internal cleaning, front and rear bumper replacement, and premium inspection services.


In addition, Renault Samsung Motors has designated August and September as the XM3 Fuel Pump Special Care period and will operate dedicated reservation stalls at over 460 Renault Samsung Motors direct and partner service centers nationwide.


Notably, for the XM3 fuel pump recall, direct service centers that previously accepted reservations only on weekdays will now accept reservations on Saturdays as well. Renault Samsung Motors plans to implement customer satisfaction services by cooperating with labor to allow customers to receive recalls at more convenient times. To this end, during this special care period, the company will actively notify customers to ensure as many eligible vehicles as possible receive recall repairs, and will provide a 5,000 KRW maintenance coupon to recall repair customers.
