Samsung Electronics will hold the 'Galaxy Unpacked' event exclusively online. This event showcases the new flagship Galaxy series smartphones, and it is the first time that it will be held solely online without an offline event. Defining the era changed by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as the 'Next Normal,' Samsung will introduce new products suited to the renewed daily life.
On the 3rd, Samsung Electronics released the second trailer video ahead of Galaxy Unpacked on its newsroom. The silhouettes of the Galaxy new products to be unveiled on the 5th appear, sparking curiosity. Samsung will reveal the Galaxy Note20, Z Fold2, Galaxy Buds Live, Galaxy Watch3, and Galaxy Tab S7.
The trailer video contains hints about the Unpacked stage. Gamer MYTH, artist Khalid, and BTS also appear. It is expected that these celebrities will introduce features such as the cloud gaming integration of the Galaxy Note20 and the active noise canceling function of the Galaxy Buds Live through the video.

Along with the phrase 'Welcome to the Next Normal,' scenes of setting up the Unpacked event stage and checking equipment are shown. Tae-moon Roh, President of the Wireless Business Division, who will deliver the keynote speech, makes a surprise appearance and ends the video by saying, 'Stay tuned.' This Unpacked event will feature the theme 'Inside Galaxy Innovation,' sharing stories from developers and designers, including behind-the-scenes of development and design.
Until now, Unpacked events were typically held in San Francisco in February and New York in August. This year, due to COVID-19, offline hosting is impossible, so the event will be filmed domestically and broadcast worldwide. It will be filmed at large venues equipped with stages such as COEX or KINTEX, and a mix of live broadcast and recorded footage will be streamed globally. Since it will be held without an audience, it is expected to be difficult to hear applause or cheers when new products are unveiled.
The event can be viewed from 11 PM on the 5th (10 AM Eastern Time, USA) on Samsung Electronics' newsroom and website, as well as Samsung Electronics' YouTube and newsroom Facebook pages.
