AT&T Ad Video Leaked... Ultra Model Features 'Dynamic OLED'
Ultra Model Supports Gorilla Glass 7, 120Hz Refresh Rate, 9ms S Pen
[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] It has been revealed that there is a significant difference in display and camera performance between the Ultra model and the standard model of the Galaxy Note20 series.
Looking at the specifications featured in the leaked AT&T Galaxy Note20 advertisement video on the 2nd (local time), the Galaxy Note20 Ultra is equipped with a 'Dynamic OLED (resolution 3200x1440)' display, while the standard model has a 'Super AMOLED (2400x1080)'.
In terms of appearance, the edges of the Ultra model's screen are curved, whereas the standard model's screen is completely flat. The screen refresh rate is also 120Hz for the Ultra model and 60Hz for the standard model. The refresh rate refers to the number of times the display shows frames per second, and a higher rate results in smoother screen transitions.
Additionally, the Ultra model features 'Gorilla Glass 7', which offers twice the scratch and drop durability compared to its predecessor. The Super AMOLED display used in the standard model is the same as that applied to the Galaxy S10 Lite and Galaxy A71 (Quantum).
Both models are equipped with three cameras each, but there is a significant difference in specifications. The Ultra model supports a maximum 108-megapixel lens with 50x zoom, while the standard model supports up to a 64-megapixel camera with 30x zoom. There is also a difference in latency, a key specification of the S Pen. The Ultra model has improved latency to 9ms, comparable to the Apple Pencil, whereas the standard model supports 26ms.
RAM specifications are also differentiated, with the Ultra model having 12GB and the standard model 8GB, and the battery capacity is larger in the Ultra model (4500mAh) compared to the standard model (4300mAh). The Ultra model will be available in Mystic Black and Bronze colors, while the standard model will be released in Black, Bronze, and Green.
As the Ultra model is equipped with top-tier display and camera specifications, the price difference is also significant. The Ultra will be priced at 1,452,000 KRW, which is 250,000 KRW more expensive than the standard model at 1,199,000 KRW. The Galaxy Note20 series will be unveiled at the Galaxy Unpacked event held online on the 5th, with pre-orders expected to start on the 14th and the official release on the 21st in South Korea.
