Gyeonggi-do Supports 127 Social Economy Enterprises

[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Gyeonggi Province has selected 127 social economy enterprises within the province to participate in its financial support projects.

Gyeonggi Province is conducting projects divided into two categories: a job creation project that supports labor costs at the minimum wage level and part of the employer's social insurance premiums, and a business development expense support project that provides business expenses to enterprises. This aims to establish a stable revenue structure for social economy enterprises in the province and foster sustainable social economy enterprises.

The province will support labor costs for 160 employees at 81 preliminary and certified social enterprises, and provide 400 million KRW in business development expenses to 46 enterprises including preliminary and certified social enterprises, social cooperatives, and village enterprises.

The enterprises selected for the financial support projects will sign agreements with the respective city or county and begin receiving labor and business expenses support starting next month.

With this, including the companies selected through the first public offering, the province will support labor costs for a total of 458 employees at 206 companies and provide 2.9 billion KRW in business development expenses to 160 companies this year.

A provincial official emphasized, "We will continue to provide practical support so that social economy enterprises can maintain a more stable structure and contribute to the local community."
