[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Oh Se-hoon, former mayor of Seoul and a leading opposition presidential candidate, criticized the physical assault on Prosecutor General Han Dong-hoon, calling it a "symbolic mise-en-sc?ne of the decline of prosecutorial power."
On the 30th, Oh posted on Facebook, "Today, a farcical drama produced by President Moon Jae-in, directed by Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae, and scripted by Lee Sung-yoon was performed by the prosecution."
He pointed out, "The grand theme is ambitiously prosecutorial reform, but the actual story is a bloody battle among prosecutors," adding, "However, the audience will remember it as a symbolic mise-en-sc?ne of the decline of prosecutorial power."
Oh criticized, "It is truly a desperate revenge battle. It is the dismantling of prosecutorial power under the guise of prosecutorial reform," and called it "a prosecutorial reform that only tells them to watch their step and keep their positions."
He said, "On the day the nominee for the personnel hearing mocked the hearing committee members and received the appointment letter, this country, where investigations are conducted against those investigating the regime, assaults occur, housing and rent prices rise, and taxes are collected under the pretense of helping ordinary citizens," expressing his frustration, "All this chaos happened in one day, so how can we restore this country to its rightful place?"
