[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Jung-yoon] A singer-songwriter and head of a music label is under police investigation for illegally filming women's bodies.
On the 27th, the Gwangjin Police Station in Seoul announced that A (42) was booked without detention on charges of violating the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Crimes (filming using cameras, etc.).
A is accused of secretly filming the bodies and sexual activities of multiple women using hidden cameras and other devices. In May, a whistleblower and a lawyer reported A after discovering the videos on an overseas pornographic website.
A police official stated, "We received the complaint on May 15, completed investigations of both the complainant and the suspect, and the suspect has admitted to the charges," adding, "We plan to forward the case with a prosecution recommendation soon."
A debuted as a singer after winning an award at a music festival in 2004 and has since released over 120 songs, including full-length albums and singles.
