PurrSong, Inc., the maker of the automatic cat litter box Lavibot, has signed an export contract with OFT Corporation, which distributes cat-related overseas products within Japan.
In addition to Lavibot, OFT Corporation also sells automatic cat litter boxes developed in the United States, China, and other countries. CEO Wakabayashi praised, "Lavibot2 is like a luxury brand in the automatic cat litter box industry."
Lavibot2, with its unique features such as automatic sand replenishment and a health management system utilizing IoT technology, is experiencing a surge in orders from various countries overseas. Due to this, the company explained that domestic official releases have been suspended except for trade-in sales targeting Lavibot1 users.
Additionally, PurrSong, Inc. is diversifying its business and expanding the market for specialized veterinary medical device products through collaboration with Notus, which operates a pet business in connection with animal hospitals.
A Notus representative stated, "Through PurrSong, Inc.'s entry into the Japanese market, we have confirmed that the status of K-Bio related products is rising in the pet sector as well. Our company aims to do its best as a platform to support domestic venture companies with excellent technology entering the pet market."
Furthermore, PurrSong, Inc. CEO Tae-gu Noh said, "A precise understanding of pet habits and proprietary technology seem to have been a great help in positioning the brand as a premium one in advanced markets," adding, "We will continue to strive to produce competitive products for a happy daily life with pets."
