[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Sancheong-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 15th that it conducted training to enhance the work capabilities of public officials in charge of self-quarantine due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

This training was prepared to improve the understanding and capabilities of public officials in charge of self-quarantine, following recent media reports of unauthorized departures from self-quarantine and overseas departures.

The county has so far placed 137 people under self-quarantine to respond to COVID-19 (94 overseas arrivals, 32 contacts of domestic confirmed cases).

All of them have tested negative, ensuring that infectious disease management is being carried out without any issues.

The Director of Safety and Construction of Sancheong-gun said, “There was a case in early April in our county where a person left self-quarantine and was reported to the police,” and added, “I ask the public officials in charge of self-quarantine to fully understand and guide the self-quarantine procedures so that the county can be safe from COVID-19.”
