[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] TMON (CEO Lee Jin-won) announced on the 14th that among accommodation reservations such as hotels and pensions by region over the past ten days in preparation for the summer vacation season, the most customers chose Jeju. According to TMON's survey of customers' regional reservation rankings for July and August from the 1st to the 10th, the 2nd place after Jeju was Gyeonggi, and the 3rd place was Gangwon. In particular, in the Gyeonggi-do region, the ranking rose as demand for pensions, glamping, and pool villas was reflected more than hotels.

The regions with relatively the lowest consumer reservations were Seoul, Jeonbuk, and Chungbuk. TMON explained that although city hotels in Seoul once became popular summer vacation spots as urban "ho-cance" (hotel vacation) became a trend, the reservation rankings seemed to have somewhat lowered as the desire to escape the city during the vacation season was reflected. Additionally, Gyeongbuk and Chungnam regions were also found to have relatively low reservation rates. Based on these results, TMON recommended accommodations in Jeonbuk, Chungbuk, Gyeongbuk, and Chungnam as quiet vacation spots to practice social distancing.

Meanwhile, TMON is offering various nationwide products including accommodations, rental cars, and admission tickets at special prices through the 'Summer Break' event until the 31st. Lee Jin-won, CEO of TMON, said, "As more people plan domestic travel for summer vacations, we have prepared over 1,100 special-priced products by region, including hotel vacations, water leisure, and pensions."
