[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Kangwon Land has decided to extend the closure of its general casino operations until 6 a.m. on the 20th, considering the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
On the 9th, Kangwon Land held an emergency countermeasure meeting at its headquarters regarding COVID-19 and made this decision. Originally, the closure was scheduled until 6 a.m. on the 13th, but it has been extended by one more week.
The operation schedule of the general casino will be determined later after comprehensively reviewing the COVID-19 spread trends and the response level of health authorities. Kangwon Land has maintained the closure of its general casino operations for nearly five months since it decided on an emergency temporary closure on February 23.
