[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyemin] Joo Ho-young, floor leader of the United Future Party, said on the 9th, "We cannot help but examine the problems revealed in the conflict between Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol and Minister of Justice Choo Mi-ae," adding, "We will hold a Legislation and Judiciary Committee meeting to summon both of them together and clarify these points."

On the morning of the same day, Joo told reporters that when asked whether the conflict between Prosecutor General Yoon and Minister Choo had been resolved, "The problem is just beginning," and made the statement.

He said, "On the surface, it seems that Prosecutor General Yoon accepted Minister Choo's command and the issue appears to be settled, but many problems have already emerged during the process," adding, "We need to investigate how the Ministry of Justice's draft was leaked externally, why the case, on which the Ministry of Justice and the Supreme Prosecutors' Office reached an agreement centered on the head of the prosecution bureau, was dropped, and what external influences were at play."

Joo Ho-young continued, "The United Future Party believes that Minister Choo abused her authority to exercise command rights. We see that the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office is conducting a biased investigation," emphasizing, "We will thoroughly scrutinize in the Legislation and Judiciary Committee why the investigation into the Channel A reporting case is not being conducted with the same intensity as that of MBC, which is equally important."

He added, "We demand the convening of the Legislation and Judiciary Committee (to the chairman). We will summon Prosecutor General Yoon and Minister Choo together to clarify these points."
