[Asia Economy reporters Lee Ji-eun and Lim Chun-han] Kim Jong-in, Emergency Committee Chairman of the Future United Party, demanded President Moon's decision, saying, "Before debating who is right or wrong between Minister of Justice Chu Mi-ae and Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol, the president must quickly make a decision on this issue." Floor leader Joo Ho-young also criticized the Ministry of Justice's policy being conveyed to Representative Choi Kang-wook of the Open Democratic Party, calling it 'state affairs manipulation.'

Chairman Kim said in his opening remarks at the Future United Party Emergency Committee meeting held at the National Assembly on the morning of the 9th, "Looking at the newspapers recently, there is nothing but news that can make the public very annoyed."

He added, "Real estate speculation, the recent phenomena appearing between the Minister of Justice and the Prosecutor General, all seem to indicate a general crisis in Korean society," and said, "If the president does not resolve this issue, it cannot be resolved."

Floor leader Joo also said, "Regarding Minister Chu's improper investigation command, there is evidence that the Ministry of Justice's policy was conveyed in advance to Representative Choi, who has no authority," and added, "In the previous administration, state affairs manipulation referred to unauthorized people intervening and interfering in state affairs. I hope the Ministry of Justice clearly states its position on how such serious internal discussions were conveyed in advance to Representative Choi, and I also hope Representative Choi accurately reveals how he obtained this information."

He continued, "To oust Prosecutor General Yoon, it seems that Minister Chu alone was not enough, and the secret advisers who consulted and coached alongside her are people close to President Moon. Therefore, I cannot help but think that President Moon is behind this, using these people to push out Prosecutor General Yoon."

He also criticized the real estate measures. Chairman Kim said, "Regarding the real estate issue, the fact that there is talk about identifying and selling houses owned by public officials at grade 2 or higher makes one doubt whether this government has actually implemented any real estate policy," and pointed out, "The situation has become helpless to the point that even the real estate issues of public officials are being raised to appease public opinion."

He questioned, "The government has long registered public officials' assets and publicly disclosed the registered information. Now, talking about identifying the housing ownership status of public officials at grade 2 or higher is just the government making irrelevant remarks to cover up its actual policy failure."

Floor leader Joo said, "The 21 real estate policies announced since the Moon administration have all ended in collapse or failure, as proven by the real estate price surge," and criticized, "When failure is revealed, the policy direction or the person responsible should be changed, but it seems like the 22nd measure is trying to solve policy failure by having public officials dispose of their houses."

Floor leader Joo added, "I don't know how many houses public officials own, but even if they sell them, due to this administration's loan regulations, people who are not cash-rich cannot buy houses in such a situation," and said, "If President Moon does not promptly dismiss Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Kim Hyun-mi, I will exercise the right to recommend dismissal."
