Haenam-gun Accelerates Support for Small Business Owners Overcoming COVID-19

Actively Supporting Competitiveness Enhancement Including Business Environment Improvement Projects

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Hyun] Haenam-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan) announced on the 8th that it will actively promote support policies for small business owners to revitalize the commercial district, which has been stagnant due to COVID-19, and to strengthen the competitiveness of small business owners.

Applications are being accepted until the 24th for the Small Business Owner Small-scale Management Environment Improvement Support Project to improve the poor management environment of small business owners.

This project provides support for various necessary areas such as interior improvement, hygiene management, promotional support, and sales system improvement within a limit of 2 million KRW through customized consulting for each small business owner. Applications can be submitted by visiting the Economic Industry Division of Haenam-gun Office or Haenam YMCA.

The county plans to actively promote projects that can provide practical support to small business owners in various fields, including small business succession startup support, E-commerce startup challenge, online marketing promotion cost support, visiting health checkup services, and small business owner healing camps.

Last year, through the establishment of the basic plan for small business owner support during the 7th local government term, four promotion strategies and sixteen policy projects were discovered and implemented to overcome COVID-19 and revitalize the local economy.

In the first half of this year, administrative efforts were focused on support projects for the management stabilization of small business owners facing difficulties due to the impact of COVID-19, such as emergency management stabilization funds for Haenam-type small business owners, public utility fee support, 10% discount sales of Haenam Love Gift Certificates, interest support for small business owners, special loan guarantees, and fee support.

In the second half of the year, in addition to the small business management stabilization policies promoted in the first half, support projects to strengthen the competitiveness of small business owners will be actively pursued.
