[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Busan Metropolitan Office of Education announced on the 7th that Oh Seung-hyun (56) will take office as the Deputy Superintendent of Education on the 8th.
The newly appointed Deputy Superintendent Oh Seung-hyun was born in Jeonju, Jeonbuk. He graduated from Seoul National University with a degree in Social Welfare, earned a master's degree in Public Administration from Syracuse University, USA, and obtained a doctorate in Human Resource Development Policy from Chung-Ang University.
He entered public service by passing the 28th Administrative Examination and has served in various positions including the Public Relations Office of the Ministry of Education, the Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security, Deputy Superintendent of Ulsan Metropolitan Office of Education, Deputy Superintendent of Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, and Director of School Policy at the Ministry of Education. Since January 2018, he has been serving as the Deputy Superintendent of Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education.
The former Deputy Superintendent of Busan, Kim Jin-soo, has moved to the position of Deputy Superintendent of Gangwon Provincial Office of Education.
