The 8th Seocho District Council Second Half Organization

Election of Jang Okjun as Chair of the Steering Committee, Lee Hyunsook as Chair of the Administrative Welfare Committee, and Oh Secheol as Chair of the Finance and Construction Committee

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Seocho District Council (Chairperson Kim Ansook) concluded the formation of the second half of the year’s council by electing three standing committee chairpersons at the 3rd plenary session of the 1st regular meeting of the 298th session on the 6th, and began the 8th term’s second half legislative activities.

Jang Okjun (The Democratic Party) was elected as Chairperson of the Steering Committee, Lee Hyunsook (United Future Party) as Chairperson of the Administration and Welfare Committee, and Oh Secheol (United Future Party) as Chairperson of the Finance and Construction Committee.

Kim Jungwoo was appointed as Chairperson of the Special Budget and Accounts Committee.

After the council formation was completed, a simple inauguration and farewell ceremony was held at EL Tower, proceeding with the farewell address by former Chairperson Ahn Jongsook, the inauguration speech by new Chairperson Kim Ansook, and congratulatory remarks by District Mayor Cho Eunhee.

In her inauguration speech, Chairperson Kim Ansook stated, “I believe that we must focus on what we have to do and what we do well during the given two years to create a Seocho where no one is left out and everyone is happy. I will actively and proactively carry out my duties as chairperson to build a council faithful to its fundamentals and one that empowers the residents.”
