Busan Haeundae Office of Education, Integrity Empathy Network ... Customized Support for Schools and Promotion of Integrity Culture

‘Cheongnyeom Gonggam Network’ Emerges... Communication and Cooperation Are the Only Ways to Prevent Corruption The Cheongnyeom Gonggam Network Council. The Busan Haeundae Office of Education has formed and started operating the Cheongnyeom Gonggam Network to establish a culture of integrity in the educational field.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A ‘communication network’ aimed at fostering a culture of integrity in educational settings through communication and cooperation across all areas of school management has been launched, drawing attention.

On the 4th, Busan Haeundae Office of Education announced that it will operate the ‘Integrity Empathy Network’ for administrators of elementary and middle schools in the district to overcome COVID-19 and improve integrity.

This network was designed to develop creative solutions to the COVID-19 crisis and tailored support measures for schools, as well as to spread a culture of integrity within the educational community.

The Busan Haeundae Office of Education divides the elementary and middle schools in its jurisdiction into nine districts to operate the network. The superintendent serves as the head, the director of the administrative support bureau as the deputy head, and vice principals and administrative officers from each district’s elementary and middle schools participate, acting as a control tower for school site support and spreading a culture of integrity.

Additionally, it plays a coordinating role in communication and cooperation between schools and the education office, as well as between the teachers’ offices and administrative offices.

The network held Integrity Empathy Network meetings for each district from June 18 to July 1.

At the meetings, various opinions were deeply discussed regarding improvements in corruption-prone areas such as field trip operations, after-school program management, procurement contracts, and budget execution, as well as individual school issues.

Based on the discussions at the meetings, the Haeundae Office of Education plans to prepare improvement measures and share them with individual schools.

Kim Young-bok, superintendent of Haeundae Office of Education, said, “This network is a communication and cooperation channel for the educational community striving to normalize school education amid the COVID-19 crisis,” adding, “I believe it will play a leading role in overcoming COVID-19 and creating a clean and fair education.”
