Gyeongsan City Council of Gyeongbuk Appoints Councilor Lee Gi-dong as Second Half Chairman

Chairman Lee Gi-dong, appointed as the leader to guide the Gyeongsan City Council in the second half of the year, is seen giving his acceptance speech on the 3rd.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Dongwook Park] Gyeongsan City Council in Gyeongbuk announced on the 4th that on the 3rd, during the first session of the 220th Gyeongsan City Council extraordinary meeting, the first session of the second half of the 8th term, Councilor Lee Gidong was elected as the chairman for the second half.

Park Miok was appointed as the vice chairman. Eom Jeongae was elected as the chairperson of the Steering Committee, Nam Gwangrak as the chairperson of the Administrative and Social Committee, and Son Byeongsuk as the chairperson of the Industry and Construction Committee. Afterwards, at the 2nd plenary session held on the 6th, the results of the vice chairperson elections for each standing committee will be reported, concluding the extraordinary meeting schedule.

Chairman Lee Gidong pledged in his greeting, "I will return to my original intention, always maintain a humble attitude to meet the expectations of the citizens, communicate and harmonize with the executive branch, and devote all my capabilities to the development of Gyeongsan City."

Meanwhile, the Gyeongsan City Council is composed of a total of 15 seats, distributed as 4 seats for the Democratic Party of Korea, 9 seats for the United Future Party, 1 seat for the Justice Party, and 1 independent seat.
