[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] The Namchang Onggi-jonggi Market, a representative traditional market in Ulju-gun, Ulsan, will host a Saturday flea market.
Ulju-gun announced on the 6th that it will hold a flea market every Saturday starting from the 4th, offering various sales events.
The market held last Saturday showcased the first flea market with local residents' Anabada (barter), a free market, and experience zones.
On the same day, a 'Thanks to You Relay' event was held to express gratitude to Onsan Fire Station, which has been working hard to overcome COVID-19. Various prize events were also conducted for customers who purchased products that day.
Kim Gyu-baek, president of the Namchang Onggi-jonggi Market Merchants Association, said, "We have appropriately opened this Saturday flea market in line with the Korea Together Sale period, preparing a variety of high-quality and affordable products," adding, "We hope this will become a place of harmony where consumers and small merchants in the market can smile together and serve as an opportunity to revive the local economy, which has been struggling due to COVID-19."
