[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim Ansuk, a member of the Seocho District Council, was elected as the chairperson for the second half of the 8th term.
The Seocho District Council (Chairperson An Jongsuk) elected Councilor Kim Ansuk as the chairperson for the second half of the 8th term during the 2nd plenary session of the 1st regular meeting of the 298th session held at the Seocho District Council main chamber on the 3rd.
At this plenary session, 8 out of 15 council members attended, and with unanimous approval from all 8 members, Kim Ansuk was elected chairperson and Choi Jongbae was elected vice-chairperson.
This marks the second female chairperson elected in Seocho District, following An Jongsuk, the first female chairperson.
Newly appointed Chairperson Kim Ansuk expressed, “I am grateful to my fellow council members for entrusting me with this important responsibility during the COVID-19 disaster situation. Over the next two years, I will do my best to communicate and cooperate with my fellow council members to create a just council that empowers the residents.”
The Seocho District Council plans to elect the chairpersons of the three standing committees during the 3rd plenary session on the 6th, followed by the assignment of council members to standing committees and the reorganization of the council for the second half of the term.
