2 Additional Confirmed Cases Related to Geumyang Officetel and Gwangju Sarang Church

Classification of Gwangju Nos. 83 and 84

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Two additional COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Gwangju. The total number of confirmed cases in the region is now 84.

According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 3rd, two women in their 60s and 40s related to Geumyang Officetel and Gwangju Sarang Church tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday.

Both were confirmed to reside in Songjeong-dong, Gwangsan-gu.

Ms. A, a woman in her 60s classified as the 83rd confirmed case in Gwangju, had contact with the 43rd case related to Geumyang Officetel.

The 84th confirmed case, Ms. B, a woman in her 40s, was confirmed to have had contact with the 63rd case and is related to Gwangju Sarang Church.

Health authorities transferred them to Bitgoeul Jeonnam National University Hospital and are conducting epidemiological investigations to determine their exact movements and contacts.
