[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] “If you encounter a problem that is difficult to solve, say goodbye to the experiences you are familiar with.”

This is a statement by former Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs Kim Dong-yeon. He recently visited Pukyong National University to give a lecture on the theme of ‘Inclusion and Innovation.’

The Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation of Pukyong National University held a special lecture and discussion session with former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategy and Finance Kim Dong-yeon on the afternoon of the 1st at the Collaboration Lab on the first floor of the Liberal Arts Building at Yongdang Campus.

On that day, former Deputy Prime Minister Kim delivered a lecture titled ‘A Pleasant Rebellion ? Inclusion and Innovation’ to about 60 company representatives residing in ‘Dragon Valley,’ the industry-academic innovation campus at Yongdang Campus of Pukyong National University.

This event was organized by Pukyong National University’s Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, Link Plus Project Group, Industry-Academic Cooperation Complex Development Project Group, and Startup Support Group to diagnose the difficult domestic and international economic situation and provide transformative thinking and insight to tenant companies.

Former Deputy Prime Minister Kim Dong-yeon emphasized, “If you face a problem that you absolutely cannot solve, you must boldly part ways with the experiences that have brought you success and that you are familiar with,” adding, “You must constantly ask yourself what you truly want to do and break your own framework to find the answer.”

He stated, “To resolve recent issues such as the difficult economic situation and social inequality, efforts from only the Deputy Prime Minister or ministers are not enough. If all of us think about and practice what we can do for our neighbors from our current positions, we can overcome these difficulties.”

Currently, 400 companies are located in ‘Dragon Valley’ at Pukyong National University’s Yongdang Campus, employing about 2,000 workers.
