[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Gyeongnam Province announced on the 2nd that it will create apartment community shared spaces to support various community activities of apartment residents in the area.
The apartment community space creation project is a program that supports the use of idle spaces within complexes as various types of shared spaces where residents can gather and communicate, such as resident cafes, small libraries, and shared kitchens.
Previously, Gyeongnam Province held a proposal contest in 18 cities and counties, and after document and on-site evaluations of the submitted spaces, it finally selected three sites as project targets: ▲Changwon Seongwon Namsan 3rd Apartment ▲Changwon Sinchusan Apartment attached commercial area ▲Geoje Sagok Yeongjin Jaion 2nd Complex, investing a total of 100 million KRW from provincial and city funds.
Yoon Nan-sil, Director of the Social Innovation Promotion Team of Gyeongnam Province, said, “I hope that through the apartment community shared space creation project, it will be developed into a resident-customized space that practices communication, sharing, and solidarity.” She added, “I expect this to be an opportunity for residents to experience and spread community culture in spaces closely connected to their daily lives.”
