Hana Bank Launches Smart Counter Plus Service to Reduce Branch Waiting Times

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Hana Bank has introduced the 'Smart Window Plus' service, which allows customers to fill out financial transaction application forms in advance before visiting a branch.


Hana Bank announced on the 2nd that this service is being implemented to reduce waiting times for customers visiting branches.


Smart Window Plus is a 'digital pre-filling space' where customers visiting a branch can fill out necessary information for their transactions during the waiting time, and when it is their turn, employees can easily process the transaction by retrieving the pre-filled forms and information.


This service was designed to shorten customers' waiting times by reducing the processing time for both customers and employees, as well as to improve employees' convenience and efficiency. Applicable transactions include frequently used services such as deposits, withdrawals, currency exchange, electronic finance, and password changes, as well as modification or reporting tasks.


The pre-filling method is simple. Customers can fill out the application form on their smartphones by accessing a QR code. This method is the first of its kind among commercial banks and does not require a separate authentication process. It can also be used on the branch's tablet PCs.


A Hana Bank representative stated, “We will continue to strive to embody the value of Hana Bank’s happiness management in response to changes in work methods in the digital era.”
