[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samsung Electronics is launching a service that applies custom-designed films to protect the 'Galaxy Z Flip' from fingerprints and scratches.

On the 2nd, Samsung Electronics announced that it will offer a 'Custom Skin' application service to new and existing Galaxy Z Flip customers.

The Custom Skin is a film printed with the user's preferred colors, patterns, or characters. When applied to the smartphone, it prevents fingerprints, maintains a slim design and grip, and allows users to express their individuality.

Samsung Electronics offers a total of 11 types of Custom Skins. These include four color skins: Blue, Light Green, Red, and Matte Transparent; four pattern skins: Black Watch, Geometric, Dot, and Grid; and three character skins: Gom Pyo, Marvel Spider-Man, and Ninise. Applying a color skin changes the phone to a new color, while the Gom Pyo design skin creates a newtro (new retro) vibe.

Samsung Electronics provides one free service to Galaxy Z Flip buyers. Customers can download a promotion coupon from the Samsung Members application. Starting from the 9th, customers can receive the Custom Skin application service by verifying the coupon at Samsung Electronics service centers nationwide.

Before the service launch, from the 3rd to the 5th, a 'Custom Skin' application popup event will be held at Samsung Digital Plaza Hongdae, Hyundai Pangyo, Galleria Gwanggyo, and Electromart Yeongdeungpo. Galaxy Z Flip users visiting during the event will receive one additional Custom Skin and application service.

A Samsung Electronics representative said, "Inspired by Galaxy Z Flip users who want to express their individuality with various accessories such as stickers, beads, and keyrings, we created the 'Custom Skin.' We hope that the 'Custom Skin' will create a new phone decoration culture unique to the Galaxy Z Flip."
