According to the county on the 1st, subscribing to 'Feng Shui Disaster Insurance' enables residents to prepare for damages to houses and greenhouses caused by various disasters such as typhoons, heavy rain, and heavy snow on their own.
The county supports insurance premiums differentially up to 82% to reduce the burden of subscription for residents.
In particular, for the lower-income class or basic livelihood security recipients, the individual burden is about 10%, and they can receive much more compensation than disaster relief funds in case of unexpected natural disasters.
Residents who wish to subscribe can fill out a subscription consent form at the Safety Management Division Disaster Recovery Team of the county office or the relevant eup/myeon office, or individually inquire with five insurance companies (DB Insurance, Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance, Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance, KB Insurance, NH Nonghyup Property & Casualty Insurance) for more detailed consultation on premiums, etc.
A county official said, “We will actively promote the Feng Shui Disaster Insurance system so that many residents can receive large compensation in case of natural disasters,” and added, “We will do our best to help residents create a safe and happy life.”
