Dongmyeong University Participates in Busan Nam-gu Volunteer Center Talent Donation Mentoring Program
Face-to-Face Mentoring in Media and Beauty Fields for Middle School Mentees Until November
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongmyung University is participating in the unique face-to-face mentoring program "Kkumteul Kkumteul," a college student talent donation event hosted by the Busan Nam-gu Volunteer Center.
About 20 students from the university will provide face-to-face mentoring volunteer services twice a month until November, focusing on media utilization and beauty fields for middle school mentees.
The Dongmyung University Dongmyung Social Service Group held an orientation for the unique talent donation volunteer program "YouTube & Creator," in which students participate as volunteers, at 11 a.m. on the 1st in Room 206 of the Student Welfare Center.
Park Soon-bok, Education Coordinator of the Nam-gu Volunteer Center, and Yoon Hye-young, program manager, explained volunteer training along with media education (YouTube production) and beauty education (learning makeup techniques and styling) on that day.
A total of three teams of university students plan to operate a close mentoring program on media and beauty for middle school mentees.
Dongmyung University has been participating in this talent donation program for the second year this year. It is promoted to move beyond simple volunteer work to practically help form social bonds between college student mentors and middle school mentees and to explore career paths.
From May to November last year, the university participated in the 2019 Dongmyung University Student Talent Donation Mentoring program, including K-POP dance by the Zapper dance club, creative guidance using 3D pens by the Rotarect club, and nail art guidance by the Firefly Volunteer Group.
