Gyeongnam Province Holds Inaugural Board Meeting of the Women and Family Foundation

Original Approval of 15 Review Agendas Including 2020 Business Plan and Budget Proposal

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Gyeongnam Province announced on the 1st that the 'Gyeongsangnam-do Women and Family Foundation,' which will serve as a think tank for women and family policies, held its first board meeting at the Gyeongnam Women's Capability Development Center and officially began its operations.

The board meeting, chaired by CEO Min Mal-soon, reviewed and approved as originally proposed a total of 13 items essential for foundation operations, including organizational regulations and personnel regulations for staff recruitment, as well as the 2020 budget and business plan.

Major projects for the second half of the year by the Gyeongsangnam-do Women and Family Foundation include ▲ research on redefining the role of women and family policy promotion institutions within the province ▲ research on creating Gyeongnam-style women’s jobs ▲ research on support measures for single-person households in Gyeongsangnam-do ▲ establishment of a five-year plan for children's safety implementation in Gyeongsangnam-do ▲ and a public contest for citizens to discover practical women and family policies in preparation for the post-COVID-19 era, among various other research and projects in the women and family sector.

Director Min stated, “The Gyeongsangnam-do Women and Family Foundation will enhance its research capabilities as a specialized research institution for women and family policies and ensure that research outcomes and projects are interconnected.”
