Bentley Begins Domestic Delivery of 3rd Generation New Continental GT V8

[Asia Economy Reporter Suyeon Woo] Bentley Motors Korea announced on the 29th that it has begun domestic delivery of the 3rd generation new Continental GT V8, which harmonizes dynamic driving performance, luxurious interior, and cutting-edge technology.

The Bentley Continental GT is a bestseller and Bentley’s flagship model that has led the global luxury grand tourer market. The 3rd generation new Continental GT V8 is equipped with a 4.0ℓ twin-turbo V8 engine delivering a maximum output of 550 horsepower and a maximum torque of 78.5 kgf·m. It takes only 4 seconds to accelerate from a standstill to 100 km/h, and its top speed is 318 km/h.

The 3rd generation new Continental GT V8 is the first to feature Bentley Drive Dynamic Ride (BDDR) system, an advanced technology. BDDR, the world’s first electronic active roll control technology utilizing a 48 V active roll control system, actively controls lateral rolling to enhance performance and ride comfort.

The exterior design is praised for its elegant charisma and sleek sculptural beauty. While inheriting Bentley’s heritage and design DNA, it applies cutting-edge technologies to simultaneously embody classic charm and modern beauty.

The three-sided Bentley Rotating Display preserves the beauty of Bentley’s traditional wood veneer while implementing a large 12.3-inch touchscreen. At initial boarding, it appears as a wood veneer, but depending on the driver’s choice, it can be displayed as a touchscreen or an elegant analog dial, among three different faces.

The premium audio system “Naim for Bentley,” specially made by the British audio specialist Naim exclusively for Bentley, is also installed. It uses an 1100W amplifier and 15 custom Naim speakers, adopting Dirac Dimension digital signal processing technology, an industry-first innovation that creates a virtual soundstage regardless of speaker layout.

Additionally, it comes standard with city specs offering various convenience features such as adaptive cruise control, head-up display, lane assist, night vision, park assist, pedestrian warning, top view using four cameras to show the vehicle’s surroundings, traffic sign recognition, and oncoming traffic alert.

Warren Clark, General Manager of Bentley Motors Korea, said, “We decided to prioritize the release of the V8 model that maximizes driving pleasure reflecting Korean customers’ tastes, and the price of the Korean model was also competitively set.” The official selling price of the 3rd generation new Continental GT V8 Korean model is 309 million KRW (including VAT, before reflecting the reduction in individual consumption tax).
