The Humanities City Support Project is a program that utilizes local humanities assets to enhance the social contribution of the humanities and provides lectures and experiential activities combining humanities and culture to local residents. The Kyung Hee University Humanities City Project Group plans to operate the program with approximately 670 million KRW in funding from the National Research Foundation over three years in collaboration with Yongin City.

The first lecture will begin in September. The lecture topics are diverse, ranging from the history, myths, and legends of Yongin to Korean traditional clothing seen through artifacts, and Goryeo Dynasty celadon. All lectures and events will be conducted both in-person and online. Recruitment is on a first-come, first-served basis, with a total of 50 participants. The courses and experiential event fees are free of charge.

Kim Junyeop, Director of the Kyung Hee University Institute of International Area Studies and head of this project group, said, "Through this Humanities City Project, I hope that citizens can find small daily happiness through Yongin's humanities content and realize a humanities community in Yongin City that communicates through the humanities."
