[Asia Economy Reporter Ki Ha-young] The Korea Credit Finance Association announced on the 26th that it has joined the ‘Thanks To Challenge’ to express respect and gratitude to the medical staff who have been dedicating themselves on the front lines of quarantine for months due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The Thanks To Challenge is a support campaign started by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters on April 16th to encourage medical staff working hard to treat COVID-19 patients. Participants express gratitude and respect for medical staff through photos or videos of sign language, attach hashtags such as '#ThanksToCampaign', '#ThanksToChallenge', and '#ThanksToMedicalStaff', and nominate the next participant in a relay format, making it a nationwide participatory challenge.
The Credit Finance Association, having been nominated by its member companies BC Card and the Credit Information Association, conveyed support and gratitude to the medical staff devoted to treatment sites by having executives and employee representatives express ‘respect’ in sign language together.
Chairman Kim Joo-hyun said, “With the recent spread of COVID-19 in the metropolitan area, the association and the credit finance industry will strive to strictly comply with quarantine rules so that the efforts of medical staff and quarantine officials are not in vain,” adding, “We will continue to actively participate in the government’s efforts to resolve COVID-19 and do our best to fulfill the social responsibility of finance.”
The Credit Finance Association nominated Korea Capital, a member company, as the next participant in the ‘Thanks To Challenge’.
