[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Yeon-ju] The final filming of the drama 'Kkondae Intern' has been completed.
MBC's Wednesday-Thursday mini-series 'Kkondae Intern' is set to air its last episode on the 1st of next month, and it was reported that all filming was finished on the 23rd.
Lead actor Park Hae-jin shared his thoughts on the final shoot, saying, "The actors couldn't see each other's faces. We struggled to hold back tears."
He added, "I feel glad to have become an actor. Just knowing that there is a set where such consideration for each other exists was a great comfort," and expressed his gratitude ahead of the finale, saying, "I thank everyone on our set who silently comforted me whenever times were tough."
Director Nam Sang-woo revealed his special affection for the drama, saying, "I had so much fun working on such a great project."
'Kkondae Intern,' which gained great popularity as a 'realistic workplace empathy drama,' reached a peak viewership rating of 9% during episodes 21 and 22, maintaining its position as the number one Wednesday-Thursday drama in the same time slot.
The production company stated, "The early stages of filming 'Kkondae Intern' coincided with the outbreak of the novel coronavirus, causing a crisis in filming. During this time, we were able to continue filming thanks to the active procurement of hard-to-get masks, disposable gloves, and mouthwash," adding, "Additionally, when it was difficult for our set to use external restaurants, thanks to Park Hae-jin, we received countless supports of meal trucks, snack trucks, and coffee trucks throughout the filming period."
They continued, "We express our gratitude to actor Park Hae-jin, who carefully encouraged the staff and motivated the actors," and added, "Without Park Hae-jin, our drama would have faced many difficulties."
