[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] Yeom Kyung-yeop (52), manager of the SK Wyverns professional baseball team, suddenly collapsed during the game against the Doosan Bears on the 25th and was transported to the hospital.

On that day, Manager Yeom suddenly collapsed in the dugout after the top of the 2nd inning during the first game of the doubleheader against Doosan held at the Incheon SK Happy Dream Stadium at 3 p.m.

At the time, Manager Yeom was scheduled to be transported to Incheon Songdo Plus Hospital, but it was decided that examination at a large hospital was necessary, so he was taken to Incheon Gil Hospital.

An SK official stated, "The manager regained consciousness slightly during transportation. He is scheduled to undergo tests in the emergency room for now," and added, "The doctor diagnosed that he is in a very weakened physical and mental state due to insufficient meals and sleep, and excessive stress." The official further added, "The hospital recommended hospitalization for additional tests to make an accurate diagnosis."

It was reported that Manager Yeom had been suffering from extreme stress due to SK's recent poor performance. Since early this season, SK had fallen to the bottom rank due to poor performance and had recorded a seven-game losing streak before this game, remaining in 9th place.
