On Wednesday, the 24th, Lee I-gye-mun, President of the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency, encouraged participating trainees through an online video system at the '2020 Korea Inclusive Finance Agency Online Employment Camp.'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyo-jin] The Korea Inclusive Finance Agency is holding an online employment camp until the 26th of this month for 100 specialized high school job seekers recommended by the Ministry of Education.
Last year, the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency held five in-person employment camps, each with 50 participants, to support stable social entry for high school job seekers.
In the first half of this year, most employment education programs were canceled due to the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The agency is conducting the employment camp in a non-face-to-face format in compliance with COVID-19 prevention guidelines and plans to hold 2 to 3 additional sessions in the future.
In this employment camp, non-face-to-face mock interviews will be conducted to actively respond to the current situation where non-face-to-face recruitment is expanding due to COVID-19 and to help participants gain practical experience. Employment competency enhancement programs such as image and speech consulting and job-specific application writing methods will be provided.
Director Lee Gye-moon stated, “With job fairs and field training canceled due to COVID-19, employment education opportunities for specialized high school students have been significantly reduced. We hope this employment camp will be of practical help.” He added, “For those who complete the employment camp, we plan to actively support them afterward by providing online talk concerts with current HR managers and offering recruitment information.”
